From all artistic traditions of Tantric Buddhism, that of painting with colored sand ranks as one of the most unique and exquisite. Millions of grains of sand are painstakingly laid into place on a flat platform over a period of days creating a magnificent, vibrant colored work of art.
This event is from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and is free to the public.
Come and learn the art of sand painting while participating in the creation of a Tibetan masterpiece.
