Parading Time

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Springfield at the Craic o’ Noon 

This year’s theme is “Share the Irish Spirit” and the Grand Marshall is Share the Spirit.                                                     

Parade starts on Jefferson St. at 6th St. then heads west to 5th St. Heads south down 5th St. to Capitol Ave. then North up 6th St. (6th St. is the Family Friendly Area) Parade goes East on Washington then back to the beginning in the Horace Mann parking lot. Map of Parade Route click here.

Family Fair on the Old State Capitol lawn. Bring the family for fun, family activities from 11 am – 3 pm. Enjoy bounce houses, Celtic Athletic demos, dancing, puppet show and much more.

Irish Cuisine & Drink Specials

Sportsman’s Lounge  at 229 W Mason St. is offering corned beef and cabbage or Rueben sandwiches Friday – Sunday. Enjoy Bag Pipers on Saturday at 5:30 pm.

The Curve at 3216 S. 6th St. is offering FREE corned beef and cabbage while it lasts. Specials on Irish Whisky & Car Bombs along with live music in the beer garden from 6 pm – 10 pm

Vele Italian Restaurant at 524 E. Monroe St. is offering breakfast specials including scratch-made biscuits and gravy, doughnuts and drink specials, such as Irish coffee. Lunch specials include ribeye sandwiches, bratwurst and cheese fries. Drink specials are Guinness and Irish Car Bomb cocktails.

Robbies at 4 S. Old State Capitol will have corned beef and cabbage as the daily special.

Lime Street Café at 951 S. Durkin Dr. will offer corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes and Irish soda bread on Friday & Saturday, as well as sticky toffee cake with caramel sauce and bread pudding with Irish whiskey. Irish lamb stew will join the offerings Saturday. Bag pipes at 6:30 pm and Live music from 8 pm – 11:30 pm.

Fox Run Restaurant & Lounge at 1130 Legacy Pointe Dr. is offering two specials available Saturday & Sunday. Corned beef and cabbage meal or Reuben sandwich with a Guinness pint.

Pease’s at Bunn Gourmet at 2941 Plaza Dr. (The Gables) is offering Guinness sausage soup and Rueben sandwiches on Friday & Saturday.

Anvil & Forge Brewing and Distilling at 619 E. Washington St. will have Nico's Homestyle breakfast and Gyros Stop food truck for throughout the evening.

Nu-Voh at the St. Nicholas at 400 E. Jefferson St is offering corned beef and cabbage, reuben sandwiches, banger and smash along with all day drink specials.
