Microbreweries are HOPping in Springfield, Illinois!

After a day of sightseeing, enjoy our local flavors and be sure to try the official Illinois Bicentennial beer “1818 Prairie State Farmhouse Ale,” crafted by Hand of Fate Brewing Co. in Petersburg (a short drive from Springfield).

New to downtown Springfield are Buzz Bomb Brewery, a two-story taproom offering growlers to go; and Anvil & Forge Brewing and Distilling a local family operated brewery with a future distillery. These establishments join Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery & Eatery, who features locally made beer and other libations, offers a full menu, as well as outdoor bocce courts.

During your stay, you’ll also want to try Engrained Brewery & Restaurant, located next to SCHEELS’s. This locally owned microbrewery and farm-to-table restaurant is a perfect stop for those seeking the local brewpub experience.

Eager to explore?

Sign up for a tour at Rolling Meadows Farm Brewery in Cantrall, a scenic 30-minute drive from Springfield. You can also enjoy a taste of Rolling Meadows signature brews including “Lincoln Lager” and “Abe’s Ale” at various Springfield restaurants including Augie’s Front Burner, and American Harvest
